Wrocław Restricts Vehicle Access Near Market Square

Wrocław city officials decided to limit vehicle and motorcycle traffic near the city's market square following resident complaints. The restrictions will apply on weekends and holidays, specifically prohibiting entry to Plac Solny and Kiełbaśnicza Street. The changes are scheduled to take effect within thirty minutes, according to the report. The capital of Lower Silesia is closing this part of the old city to traffic on weekends for 24 hours. The restriction also applies to nights during the week, including the current May holiday period. Wrocław authorities are implementing vehicle access restrictions in the Market Square area starting at 18:00 for the long weekend. City guards will only permit entry to residents, restaurant suppliers, and registered hotel guests. The city is using a two-month testing period to evaluate the impact of the solution on noise levels.
