Warsaw Tram Tunnel Construction Reaches Half Kilometer Mark
This development enables the creation of a new route for tram line 14. The project involves connecting the tunnel to the station's underground platform. The project is part of ongoing infrastructure expansion in Warsaw. Warsaw's Dworzec Zachodni has been connected to an underground tunnel designed for tram operations. Finishing works, including the installation of track slabs, are currently underway. Finishing works are underway on the track slab in the new tunnel connecting Warsaw West Station to an underground tram route. Jan Kielak reported that work is currently focused on the track bed. Workers are currently installing the track bed plates. A local forester noted that most forest fires in the region continue to be caused by human activity. The project aims to connect Wola, Chodak, Mokotów, and Wilanów while bypassing the city center.
