Vietnam Airport Passenger Volume Increases For May 1 Holiday

Vietnam's aviation sector expects high travel demand during the April 30 and May 1 holidays. Total daily flights are projected to reach 688, with passenger throughput estimated at over 109,600. Authorities are coordinating with airlines, security, and ground services to increase personnel and equipment. Traffic flow management and security checks near terminal areas have been tightened to prevent congestion and ensure passenger safety. Traffic flow near terminal entrances and security screening processes will be adjusted to manage peak hours. Personnel and equipment are being increased to manage peak holiday traffic. An airport in Vietnam reported serving 112,780 passengers, representing an increase of over 50 flights and nearly 14,000 passengers compared to May 1. The total included 681 commercial passenger flights, with the remainder consisting of charter, cargo, and specialized transport. Inbound passenger numbers reached 63,612, while outbound passengers totaled 49,168. Airport representatives noted that passenger traffic is distributed evenly throughout the day.
