An enterprise owner is reportedly responsible for a collapse at the Kadykchan coal mine. Emergency responders, including an Mi-8 helicopter and technical equipment, are on site. Approximately eight people, including local residents, are believed to be trapped under the debris. The director of the Kadykchan coal mine stated the collapse occurred after a lens of permafrost gave way. Rescue operations are underway involving multiple units of equipment and an Mi-8 helicopter, according to reports from RIA Novosti. A criminal case has been opened regarding the incident. Rescue operations are being conducted around the clock to save people from the coal mine collapse in Russia. Magadan Oblast Governor Sergey Nosov stated that of the eight people believed to be trapped, four are foreign citizens.
