Factory Boss Disappears After 271 Layoffs
A spinning and weaving asbestos factory closed in 1974 after workers operated asbestos-treating machinery for over half a century. The closure resulted in the layoff of 271 people. Following the closure, the factory owner disappeared and is reportedly located in Spain.
