The re-tendering process for the Taipei Station mall has been embroiled in a leakage controversy. The Taipei Station shopping mall tender attracted bids from nine companies. The Feng Group won the tender by a one-point margin over eight other competing companies. Nine companies originally bid for the project, which was eventually awarded to Xingguang Group. Market rumors regarding the winner circulated before the official announcement by Taiwan Railways. Results of the investigation are expected within two weeks. Nine companies participated in the bidding process, which was ultimately won by Breeze Group by a single point. Chairman Cheng Kuang-yuan stated that an investigation into all involved parties, including committee members, staff, and consultants, is currently in progress.
