Dentist Of Negligent Homicide In Augsburg
A 40-year-old dentist faces a negligent homicide charge in an Augsburg court. Prosecutors allege the medic administered an excessive dose of a sedative to a patient without the involvement of a specialized anesthesiologist. The error reportedly caused the patient to suffer respiratory arrest and subsequently die at the Augsburg University Hospital. A verdict is expected today. The district court issued a fine of 7,000 euros following the death of a patient. The court ruled the dentist failed to consult an anesthesiologist during the procedure.
