Gdańsk Medical Facilities Extend Imaging Wait Times
Hospitals in Gdańsk are extending wait times for diagnostic imaging due to changes in National Health Fund (NFZ) financing. Patients may face waits of up to six months for urgent MRI scans at Gdańsk Spółka Medyczna Kopernikus. The University Clinical Center in Gdańsk also reported delays in imaging appointments. Dariusz Kostrzewa, president of Kopernikus, cited the NFZ financing changes as the cause.
