Bacteria Detected In Local Tap Water

breaking BR24 Roding 14d13d Impact 5
Drinking water in Roding must be boiled due to a contamination issue. Municipal companies reported that the limit for coliform bacteria has been exceeded. The bacteria pose a risk particularly to individuals with weakened immune systems. Bacteria levels have exceeded safety limits in the drinking water supply for the eastern part of the Oberpfalz region in Roding. Authorities have begun flushing and disinfecting the pipes to address the issue. The contamination is allegedly linked to a non-operational local sewer booster pump that has reportedly not functioned properly for over four years. Residents are currently forced to fetch water from boreholes due to the issue. Local citizens reported that blocked drains are causing waste to sweep into the state.
