Temporary Contracts End For 60 Workers At Quarantine Hospital
Six cases of hantavirus have been detected aboard the cruise ship Ondius. The CDC's acting director stated the risk of Hantavirus to the American public is very low, and the State Department is leading a coordinated whole-of-government response. Some residents have protested in the area identified as the center of a Hantavirus outbreak. Authorities are currently following the quarantined passengers from the Dutch cruise ship, monitoring their contacts. Upon their return, the passengers will be placed in quarantine to ensure the virus does not spread. The Hantavirus-infected cruise ship is preparing to moor in the Canary Islands this weekend. More than a dozen Americans are preparing to return home under the careful watch of health experts. Spain's Civil Protection Agency has outlined plans for its arrival.
