Bicycle Rider Deaths Increase in Germany
The number of accidents involving cyclists has increased significantly compared to the previous year, according to the Federal Statistical Office. Cyclists aged 65 and older are particularly at risk. Notably, every second cyclist who died in an accident was also using an e-bike. The proportion of traffic fatalities involving bicycle riders has risen again in the past year. Older individuals on e-bikes are particularly at risk.
