Scientists Test Mosquito Net Effectiveness In Côte d'Ivoire
Researchers are collecting mosquito larvae in Côte d'Ivoire to study malaria and other diseases. The presence of stagnant water has led to significant mosquito populations, impacting local health. Scientists are using these samples to better understand disease transmission patterns in the region. Researchers are using simulated housing installations to test the efficacy of insecticide-treated mosquito nets. Volunteers are placed in these structures to simulate local populations and measure the reduction in malaria incidence. The study aims to support the ongoing distribution of treated nets by the Ivorian government.
