Syphilis Cases Mix With Other Illnesses in Adults
Syphilis in adults can be difficult to diagnose as it may present symptoms similar to other conditions, including the second stage of syphilis itself. Serological tests are definitive for diagnosis due to their high sensitivity. The low transmissibility of syphilis is attributed to its exanthematous nature. Clinical presentations can include high fever, pulmonary symptoms, and increased brain involvement.
