Russia Registers First Domestic Tetanus Vaccine
Russia has registered its first domestic vaccine for the prevention of diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis in adults. Clinical trials involved 436 volunteers aged 18 to 60 and demonstrated good tolerability. A single dose of the new drug is capable of providing protection against these diseases for 10 years. The development is intended to reduce reliance on imports and strengthen the national healthcare system. Clinical trials have confirmed the safety and efficacy of the drug.
