YouTube Launches Deepfake Protection Tool
The Spanish Association of Vaccinologists has launched a tool designed to debunk vaccine-related misinformation and conspiracy theories. President Jaime Pérez stated that childhood vaccination has saved 150 million lives over the last 50 years. The initiative aims to address various theories that have emerged in recent years. Pérez compared the impact of vaccination to the importance of water purification. The platform's content detection director stated that the service aims to protect freedom of expression, including parody and satire. While the tool will remove pornographic deepfakes, it is designed to allow political satire, such as parodies of Donald Trump. Experts have reportedly welcomed the initiative.
