Two Passengers Self-Isolating In UK After Hantavirus Cruise Ship Exposure
A total of 128 cases and 75 cases have been reported in East Sabah, according to the broadcast. The vessel is expected to dock in Tenerife within three to four days. The Spanish government had previously intervened regarding the ship's status. Five confirmed cases of Hanta virus are linked to a Dutch cruise ship heading to the Canary Islands. Three people were evacuated from the ship today and flown to nearby hospitals, according to the UN Health Agency. The virus is known to spread from person to person, a common characteristic of coronaviruses. The virus is currently being monitored in intensive care units. The virus has been confirmed on the MV Red Dars and MV Hondiut. The ship carries more than 140 passengers, many of whom are reported to be concerned and unsettled. A Dutch medical team has been flown on board to assist. Other passengers on board currently show no symptoms.
