Flower vases should be cleaned weekly, including the inner walls, to remove mosquito larvae. Areas prone to mosquitoes require the use of light-colored long-sleeved clothing and insect repellent. Areas prone to mosquitoes should be kept clear of debris like discarded utensils and cans. When traveling to mosquito-prone areas, long-sleeved clothing and insect repellent are recommended. Standing water should be eliminated to prevent mosquito proliferation. Accumulating water in discarded items like pots and cans should be avoided. Keeping corridors clear is also recommended. Maintaining clear corridors is also recommended. A public health advisory in Hong Kong recommends seeing a doctor if feeling unwell.
