Spain's Ministry of Health announced that the country will receive the cruise ship 'Red Cross' in the Canary Islands, based on international law and humanitarian principles. This decision follows concerns regarding the vessel's status. Spanish Health Minister Monika Garcia announced a cruise ship carrying passengers potentially exposed to Hanta virus will dock in Granadilla de Arona, Tenerife, on Saturday. Passengers will disembark and undergo medical examinations before being returned to their home countries. The repatriation process will follow a European civil protection protocol, with specialized provisions for both medical treatment and transport. The ship is expected to use a secondary port in Granadilla de Arona to facilitate the operation. José Antonio López Guerrero stated that patients must receive clinical care as quickly as possible.
