Ukrainian Patient Demands Treatment Refund
A patient in Dnipro is unable to obtain treatment under a state program, with a doctor reportedly demanding payment for services already covered. Patients are advised not to fear approaching the healthcare facility's administration, as the head of the institution signs contracts with the National Health Service of Ukraine. The National Health Service of Ukraine offers a hotline at 1677 for complaints and clarification on state-funded services. Patients are encouraged to retain receipts for any out-of-pocket expenses, as the service reviews each complaint and can pursue claims against healthcare facilities, having returned over 800,000 UAH last year.
