Motorcycle Ambulances Integrated Into Polish Medical System
Motorcycle rescue units have become full members of the medical rescue system as of today. These units are funded by the National Health Fund (NFZ) to reach patients more quickly. Last year, approximately 60% of 700 interventions did not require ambulance transport, as patients remained at the scene after initial assessment. Medical rescuers on motoambulances can provide on-site aid and assess whether further hospital transport is necessary. A motorcycle ambulance equipped with a medical rescue team will be deployed to assist patients in hard-to-reach areas. Motorcycle ambulances will support rescuers in Poland through the end of September.
