Severe Thunderstorm Warnings Issued For Kansas And North Dakota
The National Weather Service issued severe thunderstorm warnings for parts of Arkansas on Tuesday afternoon. Residents are advised to take precautions as conditions may include high winds and hail. The storms are expected to bring frequent lightning, damaging winds, and very large hail. The warning is in effect until 6:45 PM CDT. Conditions are conducive to severe thunderstorms. The warning cancels Cheyenne, Kansas, and continues for Decatur, Rawlins, Kansas, and Hitchcock, Red Willow, Nebraska, until June 9. A similar warning was issued for Goodland, Kansas, lasting until 6:45 p.m. This follows a special weather statement issued earlier for Billings, Montana. A special weather statement was also issued by the NWS Albuquerque NM. Warnings were issued by NWS Wichita KS until 7:45PM CDT and by NWS Hastings NE until 7:15PM CDT.
