Massive Permafrost Thaw Reported In Yakutia
Approximately 80,000 cubic meters of rock and earth have collapsed due to permafrost thawing, according to Alexander Nesterovich, CEO of the Kadykchan coal mine. The scale of the mass movement was reported by the Kadykchan coal mine director.
