Emperor Penguin Listed As Endangered Species
The noble crayfish species is currently critically endangered in Poland due to water pollution. Less than 10% of rivers in Poland maintain a good ecological state. One native species is restricted to a very small area of the country. Fewer than 10% of rivers in Poland are reported to be in good ecological condition. The noble crayfish is facing threats from crayfish plague, a disease spread by the invasive marbled crayfish. Other invasive species present in Polish waters include signal crayfish, marbled crayfish, and Louisiana crayfish. Scientific research regarding these species is currently being conducted in the Łódź context. All eight species of pangolins globally are currently classified as endangered, with several facing imminent extinction.
