Georgia Wildfires Burn 40,000 Acres
Two major wildfires in Georgia have destroyed at least 120 homes, marking the highest number of residential losses in the state's history. The Highway 82 fire in Brantley County burned approximately 7,500 acres and destroyed 87 homes, including a local automotive business. Governor Brian Kemp confirmed the scale of the destruction, which also included the loss of roughly 300 vehicles.
