Gisborne State Highway 35 Reopens To Light Vehicles
State Highway 35 in Gisborne has reopened between Bortaka and Fare Kahika Hicks Bay following geotechnical assessments. The stretch was closed due to cracking in a slip caused by heavy rainfall last week. Currently, the road is restricted to light vehicles only during daytime hours, specifically from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
