Heavy Rain Forecast For Northern Vietnam

A significant cold air mass has moved into Northeast Vietnam, bringing widespread heavy rainfall to the region, including the capital city of Hanoi. Drizzling rain is forecasted to continue through the holiday period starting April 30. The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts rainfall of 20-40 mm across northern mountainous provinces on April 29. Some local areas may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall exceeding 100 mm. The forecast warns that seasonal rains may be accompanied by dangerous weather including tornadoes, hail, and strong winds.
