Authorities Collect 4,000 Cubic Meters Of Contaminated Soil
Authorities in Tuapse have collected more than 4,000 cubic meters of contaminated soil and water mixed with fuel oil. Boom barriers were installed on the central beach to prevent the oil slick from expanding in the sea. According to Sota Vision, the fuel oil has reached the neighboring coastal settlements of Tyumensky and Novomikhailovsky, located 20 and 40 kilometers north along the coastline. The report was provided by correspondent Yuri Bronyuk. The contamination has reached the settlements of Tyumenskiy and Novomikhaylovskiy, 20 and 40 kilometers north of Tuapse. State news agency TASS reported that authorities in Tuapse collected over 4,000 cubic meters of soil and water contaminated by petroleum products. The contamination follows a recent drone strike on a local oil terminal. Oil and fuel residue have been reported across city roads.
