Home Office Expansion Could Reduce German Fuel Consumption

MDR Aktuell Konstanz 14d14d Impact 3
A study from the University of Konstanz suggests that working from home three days per week results in no loss of productivity. Study leader Florian Kunze told MDR that employees reported higher satisfaction and motivation. Adding one additional home office day for all office workers could reduce fuel consumption in Germany by approximately 32 million liters. This reduction would represent 19 percent of the daily fuel consumption. The proposal aims to assist logistics and commuters.
