Greenpeace Finds Pesticide Residues In Chinese Tea

Environmental organization Greenpeace tested 26 tea samples across 15 brands, finding only one sample met national standards. Major brands including Zhang Yuyuan, Wu Yutai, Zhu Ye Qing, and Tian Fu Ming Cha contained banned pesticides and failed to meet EU standards. Major brands including Zhang Yiyuan, Wu Yutai, Zhu Yeqing, and Tianfu Tea were identified among samples containing banned pesticides. Most samples failed to meet EU safety standards. Major brands including Zhang Yiyuan, Wu Yutai, Bamboo Leaf Green, and Chayuan were found to contain pesticides banned by the state, with most samples failing to meet EU standards. Testing of 26 samples from 15 brands showed only one met national standards; brands like Zhang Yiyuan and Wu Yutai contained banned pesticides and failed EU standards.
