Indonesia Religious Ministry Issues Heatwave Advisory

RRI Pro 1 Jakarta Jakarta 15d10d Impact 6
The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) recorded temperatures reaching 36.8 degrees Celsius. Authorities are advising citizens to avoid dehydration and exhaustion due to the hot weather conditions. High temperatures are causing fatigue, insomnia, and loss of appetite for many people. Health officials advise avoiding prolonged exposure to the heat, especially between 11 AM and 2 PM, particularly for individuals with pre-existing health conditions. The current heatwave is impacting health significantly due to prolonged exposure and water scarcity. Indonesia's Department of Religion has called on Muslim communities to prepare for rising temperatures. Current temperatures in Mecca and Medina are reported between 35 and 39 degrees Celsius.
