Seagrass Provides Ecosystem Services, Expert Says
Seagrasses are found in almost all seas, except for the polar regions, and offer ecosystem engineering services. Marine ecosystems expert Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sarı explained that seagrasses sequester carbon through photosynthesis, absorbing inorganic nutrients from the water. This process is for marine environments. Experts have highlighted the ecosystem services provided by seagrass.
