Romania Issues Yellow Flood Warning For Rivers
Unstable weather is expected in Romania's southwest, central, and northeast regions, accompanied by adverse electrical phenomena. There is also a risk of floods, with up to 40 liters of water per square meter potentially accumulating. Maximum temperatures are not expected to exceed 24 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists predict 20 to 40 liters per square meter of rainfall, leading to a yellow code for floods on rivers in Romania's North-East, Center, North-West, and South-West regions. Hydrologists forecast rapid rises on river banks with potential local flooding and exceeding of alert codes. Affected river basins include Semeșul Mare, Târnava Mare, Deznațui, Jiul Olt, Argeș, Alumița, Siret, and Jijia.
