Jakarta Provincial Government Signs Waste Transport Declaration
The South Jakarta City Administration (PMKD JAKSEL) has directed businesses to manage their own waste. This measure aims to reduce the amount of waste transported to the Banjar Gebang Waste Treatment Plant (TPST Banjar Gebang). Hendrik Mindo Sihombing, head of the South Jakarta Environmental Protection Agency's Community Participation Section, stated this directive. An environmentally friendly approach to waste management, said reuse, reduction of single-use items, and waste assessment, is being promoted. An activity held at the Textile Museum in Jakarta implemented an environmentally friendly approach to waste management. Implementation plans include using reusable utensils and establishing designated points for easier trash disposal. A previous event at the Textile Museum, attended by approximately 500 people, required six personnel for waste management.
