Cadmium and Lead Contamination Found in Poland
A study of soil in Szopienice, Poland, indicates that cadmium poses a greater threat than lead, despite lead's historical prevalence. The area was responsible for nearly 22% of cadmium emissions across the European Union. Professor Jerzy Cabała's research focused on the outermost soil layers, highlighting the reactivity of cadmium.
