Wind Damage and Fatal Accident in Vaslui County
A man died in Huși, Vaslui County, after roof tiles were blown off a building by strong winds. The victim suffered respiratory arrest and did not respond to resuscitation efforts. Emergency services intervened across several counties, particularly in the east of Romania, to manage weather-related damage. The storm also caused power grid failures and material damage. Wind gusts exceeding 90 km/h caused damage in Vaslui County, Romania. The winds stripped roofs from several apartment blocks in Huși and damaged multiple vehicles. A 67-year-old man was fatally injured by falling construction elements. Authorities reported approximately 150 square meters of roofing material was displaced from one building.
