Ukraine is prioritizing the development of renewable energy sources as part of its reconstruction efforts, aiming for a more decentralized energy system. Ukraine's procurement process for drones is being determined by the specific characteristics of the drones themselves. There have been numerous instances where buyers have formulated orders to suit a particular manufacturer. Instead of naming a specific brand or manufacturer, procurement conditions are being written in a way that only one manufacturer can meet them, leaving no alternative. Ukraine is prioritizing the protection of power grids and substations alongside the construction of new generating capacities. This includes solar, gas-piston, and gas-turbine power plants. The government has reportedly canceled certain price stabilization mechanisms for this generation sector. This follows challenges regarding Naftogaz purchasing gas at high prices from the European Union.
