Wildfires Near Otsuchi Threaten Homes
Wildfires in Otsuchi, Iwate Prefecture, have doubled the area of destroyed residences within two days. Japan has deployed 1,400 firefighters and dozens of soldiers to combat forest fires in the north that have been burning for five days. Officials warn that the fires threaten homes in the coastal city of Otsuchi.
