Landslides Triggered By Heavy Rain In Kenya
Heavy rainfall in Kenya has triggered landslides, resulting in at least 42 fatalities. The severe weather conditions are impacting local communities and infrastructure. Precipitation is mainly concentrated in South China, with light to moderate rain in parts of Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, and Hainan. Heavy rain is expected in the Leizhou Peninsula of Guangdong and Hainan. Local police reported that heavy rainfall caused widespread landslides in several areas, including Salaka, Nyeri, Elgeyo Marakwet, Marala, Fedhet, and Gianbo. Landslides triggered by heavy rainfall have devastated several provinces in Turkey. A multi-agency rescue team comprising police and relevant departments is operating in the affected areas.
