Shandong is utilizing its abundant offshore wind resources to provide stable, low-cost, and clean electricity for data centers and computing centers. To enter the international market, data and computing centers must consider competitive electricity costs and green energy attributes. This energy supply is intended to help local data centers and computing power centers expand their scale. Peng Jiatian, a planning director in the Shandong mobile network department, noted the importance of both electricity cost competitiveness and green attributes for entering international markets. The province aims to provide stable, low-cost, and clean power to facilitate large-scale computing operations. Competitive electricity costs and renewable energy integration are key drivers for scaling local computing infrastructure. The specific capacity of the wind farms and the energy demands of the data centers were not disclosed. Shandong province is utilizing offshore wind power to support its data centers, according to China's Voice of China. The normal operation of the offshore wind power facilities has resumed, and all recent temporary preventive measures have been lifted. The report also mentioned YuShu Technology's release of a new humanoid robot priced from 26,900 yuan, significantly lower than the industry average. The robot is equipped with high-performance motors and reducers. Additionally, the report noted a shift in ultra-trail running demographics towards younger participants, with the main age group moving from around forty to thirty, and an increase in female and beginner participation.
