Tamil Nadu Launches Student Guidance Desk
The Indian government has initiated a biodiversity management project covering the Meghalaya and Tamil Nadu regions. The project includes the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve and Sathyamangalam Elephant Corridor in Tamil Nadu. It will also extend to the Garo Hills region in Meghalaya, specifically targeting the Nokrek Biosphere Reserve, Siju Wildlife Sanctuary, and Nokrek National Park. The initiative is scheduled to run from 2025 to 2030. Funding for the project is being provided through specific government allocations. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin has launched a new help desk aimed at guiding Class 12 students toward higher education opportunities. The initiative seeks to provide support and direction for students transitioning to post-secondary studies.
