Weather records tumbled in the state of Victoria today. Several areas recorded their hottest May Day since records began. Temperatures were approximately 10 to 14 degrees above the seasonal average. The event occurred on May 1, 2026. May records were broken in Essendon, Melbourne Airport, Moorabbin, Shepparton, and Bendigo.
