Italy Allocates 38 Million Euros For Earthquake Recovery
The Italian Senate is reviewing a measure to allocate 90 million euros to address severe weather events that impacted Calabria, Sicily, and Sardinia since January 18. The funding will support projects aimed at enhancing local territory value and promoting sustainable mobility models. These initiatives intend to improve accessibility for residents and increase tourism in the affected regions. A new decree has allocated over 20 million euros for the reconstruction of the Trigno bridge, which collapsed due to bad weather several weeks ago. The decree also provides 7 million euros for the Sente bridge, which has been closed for eight years. The Sente bridge is described as a critical piece of infrastructure. The decree also addresses other urgent infrastructure needs. The allocation includes 5 million euros for 2028 and 7.7 million euros for 2029.
