Delta Airlines Reduces Seattle Nonstop Flights

Delta Air Lines is pausing or reducing service to Cancun, Los Cabos, and Puerto Vallarta from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport through early November. The airline cited climbing jet fuel prices due to the Iran War as a reason for the cutbacks. Service to all three routes is scheduled to resume on November 9th. Delta Air Lines is reducing flight frequencies to several Mexican destinations, including Puerto Vallarta and Cancun. The company stated the adjustment is due to an increase in turbine engine prices following the onset of the conflict in Iran. Some routes will be suspended entirely during parts of the summer and fall, with most service expected to resume in early November. The airline cited rising costs and seasonal scheduling as the reasons for the decision. New nonstop service from Seattle to Rome begins today at SeaTac.
