Amazon Revenue Grows 17 Percent
Amazon reported first-quarter revenue of $181.5 billion, representing a 16.6% increase compared to the previous year. This figure exceeded Wall Street expectations of $177.3 billion. Alphabet, the parent company of Google, recorded Q1 revenue of $109.9 billion, a 22% increase year-over-year. Alphabet's revenue surpassed the expected $107.2 billion. The company's cloud division, Amazon Web Services, grew by 28%. CEO Andy Jassy stated that AI spending will follow the growth of AWS. The company's total revenue for the past year reached 150 billion euros, representing a 30 percent growth rate. Google's Gemini service is also seeing growth, with user numbers increasing by more than 40 percent quarter on quarter. Amazon reported a 17 percent increase in revenue during the first months of 2026, reaching over 181 billion dollars. Total profit rose to over 30 billion dollars.
