Western car manufacturers are increasing collaborations with Chinese companies to maintain market competitiveness and facilitate technology transfers. CATL is currently supplying batteries to Germany's BMW. Volkswagen has launched an electric SUV through a partnership with Chinese manufacturer X-Peng.
