Thailand's wellness tourism sector has seen significant growth, with spending reaching $14 billion in 2024, a 36% increase from the previous year. The industry is recovering following massive losses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sector is currently expanding its workforce, with new qualifications for massage therapists expected within two weeks. Russian tourism revenue contributed $3.62 billion to the Thai economy in 2025. Thailand ranked third globally for visitor numbers from China and neighboring countries since the start of the year. China and Malaysia remain the top two tourist markets for Thailand. India and South Korea also rank within the top five largest tourist markets for the country. This figure reflects investment and activity within the country's health and wellness tourism industry.
