New Short-Haul Aviation Company Launches In France
Air France has announced the addition of direct flights between Paris and Las Vegas for its Summer 2026 schedule. The service will include routes connecting to Boston. A new aviation company specializing in very short flights of less than 50 kilometers has been announced. The service will utilize small 10-passenger aircraft to reduce travel times, such as a route to Ile de Ré that currently takes two hours by road but could take 20 minutes by air. The 46-year-old founder, a former finance professional, stated the company does not seek public subsidies. The concept is expected to draw interest from environmental groups due to the focus on short distances.
