Over 700 Victims Report Crypto Exchange Fraud In Poland
The Katowice Regional Prosecutor's Office is investigating a cryptocurrency fraud case that has seen over 700 victims report losses. Prosecutors estimate the actual number of victims may be significantly higher. The investigation is currently being led by the Katowice regional authorities. Reported losses currently total 350 million PLN and continue to rise. Ruling officials stated that the scale of losses would be significantly lower if cryptocurrency legislation were in place. Polish sources report that cryptocurrency fraud losses could reach between 5 million and 7 million PLN. Experts suggest that the scale of these losses might have been significantly smaller if specific cryptocurrency laws were in place. More than 700 victims have reported the collapse of the Zonda Krypto cryptocurrency exchange to the regional prosecutor's office in Katowice.
