Morocco possesses energy and political stability that distinguishes it from other regional players, according to Ulrich Ummann, a market analyst at Germany Trade and Invest. Ummann stated in Casablanca that a lack of awareness in Germany regarding Moroccan opportunities acts as a barrier to bilateral economic relations. He noted that Morocco belongs to the same tier as South Africa and Egypt. The German Foreign Minister's upcoming trip is expected to address these knowledge gaps. The analyst said that the primary barrier is not actual economic circumstances but rather widespread ignorance of available opportunities.
