Global Public Support For Nuclear Energy Increases
The United Arab Emirates government has announced plans to significantly increase its renewable energy reserves, targeting a capacity of 500 to 750 gigawatts. A Savanta market research survey conducted across 31 countries shows that an average of 46% of the global population supports the development of nuclear energy. The findings incorporate data from the United Nations and the International Atomic Energy Agency. The report indicates a shift in public perception regarding nuclear power usage. The study indicates 40% of respondents favor the construction of new nuclear power plants. Additionally, 66% of those surveyed consider nuclear energy to be a reliable thermal source. Conversely, 25 percent of respondents are against nuclear energy.
